Zarnaz Syed - Clinical Counsellor (Telehealth)
Zarnaz is an experienced Clinical Counsellor working with adults and children across all age groups. She is a Clinical Member of the Psychotherapists and Counsellors Association of Australia (PACFA) and is available via telehealth (phone & video consultations)
Since 2014, she has been employed in the community services sector, undertaking various roles such as domestic violence counsellor, alcohol and other drugs counsellor, and child protection specialist.
She adopts a person-centred, strengths-based approach to counselling, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their concerns. With experience in working with children and families facing complex challenges, she supports clients to reflect on their strengths and collaboratively develop strategies to navigate difficulties. She views each client as the expert in their own life and works alongside them to foster resilience and positive change.
Zarnaz is deeply committed to the mental health and disability sectors, recognising the importance of supporting clients experiencing stress and trauma in their journey towards recovery and wellbeing. She is passionate about empowering individuals to achieve positive outcomes and realise their full potential.
She also brings extensive experience and cultural competence in working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) and Aboriginal families. Zarnaz confidently provides counselling services in all three language; English Hindi, and Urdu.
