Ostara Australia is a national not-for-profit organisation that works closely with communities and employers to provide employment services for those job seekers with mental health diagnosis in Australia. Logic Lounge Psychology provides psychological services to clients of Ostara.
Ostara’s Metro locations you can refer to are Inner West, North Sydney and Wollongong.
Who does Ostara work with?
- People with a diagnosed mental health condition.
- Early School Leavers.
- NDIS Participants (we work with their suipport workers to get the best results).
- Existing Workers ( if at risk of losing employment due to their mental health)
- Clients with an existing DES provider who need more specialised services – they can transfer!
What does Ostara do?
- Create an environment that is welcoming, respectful and inclusive.
- We understand mental health is complex, our model is individually tailored.
- We provide support services to people at risk of losing employment.
- Employabity support such as resume wrtiing, cover letters, interview techniques
- We provide work alongside clients even after client is employed.
- We connect with inclusive and supportive employers.
Eligibility
- have mental health diagnosis
- Aged from 14 to the Age Pension qualifying age
- are an Australian resident or eligible Visa holder
- are not studying full time
- have a valid Employment Services Assessment (ESAt) or Job Capacity Assessment (JCA) recommending DES with a Future Work Capacity of eight or more hours per week; and are not working at or above their assessed work capacity
- National Disability Insurance Scheme funding for supported employment.
- Eligible School Leavers – full time, final year secondary school students with significant disability or young people transitioning from an eligible state or territory transition to work program or School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES).
- Work Assist – eligible workers who are having difficulty fulfilling the essential requirements of their role due to their injury, disability or health condition and are seeking assistance from a DES provider.
