Clinical Associate Professor Neil Jeyasingam is a former research scholar of the Institute of Psychiatry (Sydney) and Institute of Psychiatry (UK). A/Professor Jeyasingam obtained his medical degree and psychiatry training in Sydney, then proceeded to have advanced training at the Maudsley in London in Consultation Liaison psychiatry. He holds a double masters in Psychiatry and Business (Health Administration), and is published widely in personality disorders, anxiety and bipolar disorder, in peer reviewed journals and the Sydney Morning Herald, with over 40 publications. He is a case examiner for psychodynamic psychotherapy with the College of Psychiatry, and provides supervision and teaching in this area.
A/Prof Jeyasingam is the former Area Clinical Director for the largest mental health service in New South Wales, a Foundation Accredited Member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand Psychotherapy Faculty, a Visiting Associate Professor with Australian National University, a Senior Clinical Lecturer with the University of New South Wales, and the former Chair of the Faculty of Old Age Psychiatry NSW and member of the Committee for Evidence Based Medicine with the College of Psychiatry.
He has a keen interest in adolescents with self-harm vulnerabilities, older adults with cognitive concerns, and anyone seeking to understand themselves better. He looks forward to assisting you with the care of your patients, of all backgrounds and areas of concern.
