Founding Story

Logic Lounge was built to solve a simple problem: people were struggling to access mental health support when they needed it. Long wait times, high fees, and limited availability meant too many people were missing out on care.

From the beginning, our goal was to create a practical service –  available, accessible, and affordable.

Logic Lounge began in 2015, when Sarah Jacob acquired an established practice in Gordon. From the beginning, the goal was practical: reduce wait times, keep realistic fees, and build a service people could rely on.

Sarah’s path into psychology was shaped early by her exposure to the realities of mental health through her father’s work.

That experience gave her a clear understanding of how important timely support can be, and how difficult it can be for people to find help when they need it most.

When she acquired the Gordon practice in 2015, Sarah brought with her a strong belief that mental health care should be more accessible, more practical, and more reliable for everyday Australians.

That belief continues to shape the way Logic Lounge operates today.

What started as one clinic has grown into a broader network across Sydney, guided by the same belief: support should be available when people need it, not weeks or months later.

Sarah, alongside her husband Rajiv Jacob, acquired Gordon Psychology in January 2015. The demand grew, and Logic Lounge expanded into more communities across Sydney:

Our Growth

Logic Lounge’s growth has never been about expansion for its own sake. It has been driven by demand, community need, and a continued gap in access to care.

During COVID, when demand for mental health support increased significantly, Logic Lounge remained open to ensure clients could continue receiving support. That period reinforced one of our core beliefs: access matters most when life is hardest.

From 2021 onwards, Logic Lounge continued to expand its network, adding new clinics and reaching more communities across Sydney.

Today, Logic Lounge has delivered more than 100,000 sessions across its network, reflecting both the strong need for care and the systems we have built to support it.

Our Purpose

Although Logic Lounge has grown, our original purpose has stayed the same.

We are focused on being available when people reach out, keeping services accessible, and maintaining fees that are realistic for everyday Australians.

For us, quality care is only meaningful if people can actually access it.

Looking ahead, Logic Lounge will continue building clinicspartnerships, and better ways of delivering care, with the same goal we started with in 2015: to build something that works, and make it available to more people.

Our Team & Training

One of the biggest challenges in mental health care is not just clinic space – it is having enough clinicians available to meet demand.

To help address this, Logic Lounge has invested in developing its own pipeline of psychologists through structured supervisiontraining pathways, and programs such as UPstart.

By supporting early-career psychologists in real clinical settings, we help build confidence, capability, and consistency in the way care is delivered.

This allows us to increase access while maintaining the quality and reliability our clients expect.
