Other Services Offered
Nicole Louise Nossiter - Registered Psychologist (Newtown)
Nicole has 15 years experience as a Psychologist. She has worked in a variety of contexts including occupational rehabilitation, with war veterans, staff and parents in primary schools and adults from diverse backgrounds across Australia. Nicole believes therapy is an active process where clients can learn new skills to live a more meaningful life.
Nicole utilises a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic Therapy and Positive Psychology.
She recently developed a wellbeing package to enhance resilience in primary schools. This was based on Positive Psychology – the science of wellbeing, and in particular utilising a strength-based approach to enhance wellbeing and resilience for staff, students and families. This combined Nicole’s experience as a Psychologist and as a Primary School Teacher.
Nicole enjoys working collaboratively with clients to help them deal with challenges. She understand that counselling can seem daunting, so offers a conversational, informal approach utilising evidence-based tools. She feels that it is a privilege to help people navigate life and provides an empathetic, caring environment to facilitate this.
Outside of work Nicole enjoys spending time with her teenagers (when they are free!), running, going to the gym, and socialising with friends.
