Loredana is a Clinical Counsellor who works at our Gordon Psychology Clinic and via telehealth (phone & video consultations).
She is registered with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), with a Master of Counselling and Applied Psychotherapy and completing a 3-year specialist training in Somatic Intersubjective Self-Psychology.
Loredana works as a holistic trauma counsellor, and psychotherapist, combining a person-centred, humanistic and compassionate approach with a particular interest in working with the challenges of complex trauma.
Loredana works with Private, Insurance, NDIS, WorkCover, CTP, and Victim Services Counselling clients.
Her therapeutic work with clients aims to guide and facilitate self– and widen one’s perspective; increase emotional capacity and tolerance for intense and complex emotions; cultivate a felt sense of safety and develop capacity for calm, presence, clarity and connection; cultivate qualities such as curiosity, courage, patience, and playfulness; and develop self-acceptance, self-compassion, self-trust, self-esteem and self-agency.
Loredana is further informed in her trauma work by narrative therapy, trauma-informed care awareness and sensitivity; childhood and lifespan developmental theory; and attachment theory and its implications in recovery from trauma.
