Parramatta Psychology Clinic conducts a comprehensive assessment which involves the gathering of information from an array of sources. The goal is to gain insight about a child’s strengths and weaknesses by observing, communication and social skills, sensory activities as well as restricted or repetitive behaviours, activities or interests. The extent and severity to which a child can function on a daily basis can range from mild to severe.

What is the process?
At Parramatta Psychology the process we follow for Autism Assessments is as follows;
- The assessor will conduct an initial interview
- Assessment forms
- Autism specific interview
- Face-to-face assessment
- Report
- Feedback Session
For all Autism Assessments it is $2500 including report.
How do I get a Mental Health Care Plan?
Visit your GP and ask them for a referral to our clinic. Describe the issues and they’ll give you a referral to see us.
What happens if I don't want to see my GP?
If you don’t want to see a GP, you can visit us without a Medicare Care Plan. You can discuss fees when you call us.
How many sessions do I get by obtaining a Medicare Care Plan?
Medicare provides you with 6 sessions initially. In the event you need additional sessions, visit your GP and they can refer you back to us for more sessions.
