Alvin Lo

PSYCHOLOGIST

Alvin is a generally registered psychologist who has been in private since 2017. Arriving in Australia at the age of 11, he has learnt from a young age to appreciate and respect the different cultures of the world. Both a challenging and fun experience, Alvin has started developing an understanding that we are all connected through our shared humanity from a young age.

As a practitioner, Alvin conducts CBT, ACT and DBT through a Narrative Therapy style driven model. The narrative approach is collaborative and investigative with the process of working side-by-side towards meaningful solutions. Motivated by passion and curiosity, Alvin enjoys collaborating with clients in learning their own values and goals in life. He is passionate in supporting them to rediscover themselves and bolstering them towards their preferred stories in life.

Alvin has supported individuals experiencing symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression and bereavement. He identifies as LGBTQI+ friendly, providing a safe space for those in need in the community. Alvin currently works with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, from young adults to older adults.

Outside of the clinic, Alvin is enthusiastic towards baking desserts, video games and keeping fit. As a self-taught baker who is sweet sensitive, he is always on the lookout to recreate sugar-reduced baked goods for his family and friends to enjoy. His go-to activities are spending time with friends, baking, and playing video games.

Alvin is SIRA-accredited.

Alvin is able to see clients aged 17 and up.
